Depok – Tanaman Sambiloto atau nama latinnya Androgaphis Paniculata Ness, tanaman yang banyak hidup di negara-negara Asia Tenggara.
Tanaman berwarna hijau pekat baik daun dan batangnya memiliki khasiat yang banyak, namun rasanya pahit. Meski pahit, sambilo sejak dulu dianggap manjur mengatasi berbagai penyakit. Salah satu khasiatnya adalah membersihkan Jerawat di wajah.
Begini caranya:
Daun/batang/keduanya secukupnya dicuci bersih. Setelah bersih dimasukan ke dalam panci berisi air 2 gelas (500 cc) dan direbus. Tunggu sampai tersisa 1 gelas (250 cc). Tuangkan (saring) dalam gelas, setelah hangat-hangat kuku lalu diminum. Lakukan berulang sampai jerawat hilang.
Selain diminum, sambiloto juga bisa untuk dijadikan masker wajah.
Tanaman sambiloto memiliki kandungan Andrographolide, Saponin, Flavonoid, Alkaloid, Tanin, Lakton, Paniculin, Kalmegin, dan Hablur Kuning.
Beberapa manfaat sambiloto lainnya:
1. Membantu meredakan panas dalam
2. Berpotensi mencegah pertumbuhan sel kanker. Jenis kanker yang terkait adalah prostat, payudara, usus, hepatoma, dan melanoma. Sambiloto memiliki manfaat memaksimalkan fungsi chemokine sehingga pertumbuhan sel kanker bisa ditekan.
3. Ispa. Dibandingkan dengan tanaman herbal lainnya, sambiloto dapat mempersingkat durasi batuk, panas dalam, dan lama seseorang mengalami sakit.
4. Sklerosis
5. Pereda nyeri
6. Baik untuk pencernaan. Sambiloto dapat meredakan diare, konstipasi, kolik,hingga nyeri di perut setelah dikonsumsi secara berkala.
Selain memiliki banyak khasiat, tanaman sambiloto juga memiliki efek samping (tergantung kondisi badan). Diantaranya sakit kepala, lemas, reaksi alergi, mual dan diare.
Manjur atau tidak, tergantung tubuh kita masing masing. Bijaklah dalam mengkonsumsi obat.
