Memasuki masa transisi menuju tatanan New Normal, beberapa sekolah yang menerapkan sistem asrama telah memulai kegiatan pembelajaran.
Untuk itu, pemerintah perlu memastikan bahwa sekolah-sekolah berasrama tersebut telah siap beraktivitas dan benar-benar aman dari Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Hal ini disampaikan wakil presiden K.H. Maruf Amin ketika memimpin rapat terkait penerapan protokol kesehatan di sekolah berasrama melalui video conference di Kediaman dinas Wapres, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (10/06/2020).
Lebih lanjut Wapres menerangkan bahwa pendidikan dengan sistem asrama memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan sistem non asrama, sehingga penanganannya pun berbeda.
“Saya harapkan pembahasannya tidak melebar kepada masalah kualitas pendidikan, tidak juga membahas soal ekonomi, tetapi benar-benar aman Covid-19”, kata Ma’ruf.
Oleh karena itu, Wapres menekankan, keamanan sekolah berasrama dapat terjamin sepanjang langkah-langkah pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 dilaksanakan dengan baik.
Langkah-langkah tersebut meliputi penyediaan rapid test masal, penyiapan sanitasi dan air bersih, pengaturan physical distancing dan sterilisasi tempat.
“Harus kita siapkan supaya keadaan aman Covid [19] atau pendekatan kesehatan menjadi lebih bisa dijamin,” ucapnya.
Menutup arahannya, Wapres berpesan agar bantuan kepada sekolah berasrama ini dapat dilakukan secara bertahap sesuai dengan urgensinya.
Hal-hal yang harus segera dieksekusi barangkali memang juga harus disiapkan, walaupun mungkin tidak semua, tetapi mungkin tahapan saja, pungkasnya.
Usai arahan Wapres, acara dilanjutkan dengan paparan teknis dari peserta rapat terkait mekanisme bantuan dari kementerian dan lembaga untuk memastikan lingkungan sekolah berasrama bebas Covid-19.
Hadir dalam rapat virtual ini Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan Muhadjir Effendy, Menteri Agama Fachrul Razi, Menteri Kesehatan Terawan Agus Putranto, Menteri Desa, Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal dan Transmigrasi Abdul Halim Iskandar, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Basuki Hadimuljono, Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Johnny G. Plate dan Kepala Gugus Tugas Penanganan Covid-19 Doni Monardo.
