Jakarta – Wakil presiden Ma’ruf Amin mengikuti Upacara HUT Ke-74 Bhayangkara melalui Video Conference di rumah dinas Wapres Jl. Diponegoro.
Wapres mengatakan, Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri), sebagai mitra dan pengayom masyarakat, mengemban tugas yang tidak mudah. Terlebih dalam situasi wabah Covid-19 sekarang ini, Polri memiliki peran strategis dalam upaya memutus mata rantai penularan, sekaligus membimbing masyarakat menghadapi kehidupan normal baru, Rabu (1/7/2020).
“Saya berharap Polri dan seluruh jajarannya dapat terus bersinergi, menjaga semangat bekerja keras, serta mampu mengawal cita-cita pembangunan nasional, yaitu tercapainya stabilitas nasional dan kemakmuran rakyat,” kata Ma’ruf.
Wapres juga berharap Polri semakin profesional dalam mengayomi masyarakat.
“Semoga Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia semakin responsif, proaktif, dan profesional dalam mengayomi masyarakat,” ujarnya.
Ma’ruf juga ucapkan selamat kepada seluruh anggota Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia di seluruh tanah air dan di manapun ditugaskan.
“Saya mengucapkan Selamat Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-74 Bhayangkara. Jayalah terus Korps Bhayangkara,” ucap Ma’ruf.
